The Pause Button.

I have to admit I have tried to write a blog a few times over the last week but have been pulled away by different things.

There is plenty to write about and share but there just isn’t enough time in the day to sit down for 20 mins and capture my thoughts. We have been straight out crazy for the last couple weeks. Work is piling up, snow storms are randomly showing up and dropping 20 inches of snow, and we are currently in the process of looking for a new home. We aren’t moving far just trying to find a location that better fits our needs. Our plates are full. Overflowing at times it feels but it’s good.

When you get in that moment of feeling overwhelmed you just have to stop everything you are doing and just pause. Pause for just a few moments to relax, quiet your mind, and enjoy the silence .

Tonight as I closed my laptop down at 11:45 finishing up a last minute project for a deadline tomorrow. I laid down and just stared at the ceiling fan. I took a deep breath, shut my eyes and just laid there in peace. This moment of silence or hitting the pause button was refreshing. I don’t think I have done this once over the last couple weeks.

Sometimes our lives can move so fast and in so many directions we forgot to pause and take it all in.

Take moment for yourself tomorrow and do this. You won’t regret it.

  1. Good words son, I have found myself doing that when I go out and shoot photos of scenery, it puts things in order and slows my thoughts down.
Starting a new job is exciting and scary, this has been a rollercoaster for me with jobs, not because of me and my performance but the companies makes cuts to save money and it trickles down the chain.
