On this Thanksgiving Day, a holiday of gratitude for a NEW WORLD, I would be remiss if I didn’t share that I carry with me a fresh perspective; one rich in irreplaceable experience that I’ll forever be grateful for.
I’m so blessed to have met you. To have seen you smile. To have witnessed true joy through your eyes. To be given the opportunity to act with pure love.
I’m talking about these faces. The faces of the kids of Vision Church. Those of children that are already great but will one day be greater. It encourages my heart to know that I will see these kids again. Maybe next year upon a return trip. Maybe through updates from the Pastor. Maybe in our eternal, heavenly home.
Looking in their eyes I see a future. I believe God, alone, gave me eyes to see this. Jeremiah 29:11 tell us His promise to give us “hope and a future”. Oh, kiddos! Will one of you set your nation free as the country’s future president? Will one of you be Pastor Rosinel’s predecessor bringing hope and peace to your people? Will one of you be the next doctor, teacher, innovator?
I’m blessed to know you. I’m blessed to be let into your world, even for just a few days. I’m blessed to have been enriched by witnessing your joy. A joy not defined by circumstance, but rather, a joy that has everything to do with where we put our focus. May you always “look up” (Colossians 3:1-2).
So on this Thanksgiving my hope is that each and every person reading this blog post knows that you, too, are promised a NEW WORLD. It starts with a yes and He takes it from there.
